Supporting Students With Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities During COVID-19

Brown School Open Classroom presents Supporting Students With Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities During COVID-19

COVID-19 presents unique challenges for students with special needs. The Washington University School of Medicine, in partnership with the Special School District of Saint Louis County, implemented weekly surveillance (asymptomatic) testing using saliva-based PCR testing. Utilizing findings from focus groups with parents and staff conducted by the Brown School Evaluation Center, this discussion will examine the best ways to support students with special needs as we continue to live with SARS-CoV-2. This work is supported by the National Institutes for Health (NIH).
