Program Manager in the Office of Field Education

Barbara collaborates with the Evaluation Center to support community outreach and student practicum supervision.

She is the Coordinator of the Alliance for Building Capacity, an endowed program at the Brown School. It provides the structure for Brown’s placed-based initiatives by managing and implementing community initiatives and coordinating the work of graduate students with partnering institutions and organizations in defined settings. Barbara teaches at the Brown School, the Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Design, the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, and the Saint Louis University School of Law. She is also a qualified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator© administrator.

Barbara’s experience includes leading and managing professional staff and volunteers, creating and executing programs, teaching, consulting, training, facilitating, mentoring, and building coalitions among diverse community partners. She’s a founding board member and past chair of Nonprofit Missouri, the state’s association of nonprofits. Barbara is also an executive coach for the Missouri Foundation for Health’s Leadership Fellows program and a member of Eagle Bank’s Community Advisory Committee.
