March 31, 2020
Colleagues and Partners,
We hope that you, your families, and the communities you serve stay healthy and safe. Like you, we have been watching the COVID-19 pandemic unfold and getting used to our “new normal”. Thanks to the quick action taken by Washington University and Brown School to protect the health of our students, faculty and staff we started transitioning in early March to continue our work off-campus.
We’ve been keeping your project running smoothly − as always − thanks to Zoom, Asana, Microsoft Teams, good old-fashioned email, and the occasional break to watch a funny dog video.
Continuing to meet the evaluation needs of partners is our top priority. You can expect that we will provide the same high quality services and products as usual. But we understand if your priorities have changed. The Evaluation Center values the work you do and the many ways you support the health and well-being of our community. Developing an evaluation plan or reviewing evaluation findings may not be at the top of your “to-do list” this week, or even next month. It’s okay. We’re here for you, whenever you’re ready to continue the conversation.
In the middle of all the chaos, take a moment to breathe. Show your appreciation to all the caregivers. Extend grace where it is needed. Make an extra effort to connect with someone who needs to smile. We will do the same.
In partnership,
Nancy Mueller, MPH
Assistant Dean for Planning and Evaluation at the Brown School
Director of the Brown School Evaluation Center
