Overview

The Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences’ Center for Community Health Partnership and Research (CCHPR) aims to reduce disparities and improve health and wellness in the St. Louis region by providing community-based organizations with access to partnership opportunities and pathways to healthcare improvement.

The Evaluation Center partnered with CCHPR to conduct an Organizational Capacity Needs Assessment with community-based organizations (CBOs) in the St. Louis region. The purpose was to assess the organizational capacity of CBOs across several constructs, such as evaluation and sustainability.

Project Description

Background

CCHPR is a transformative initiative that promotes collaborative research partnerships between and among the community, community organizations, academic institutions, community-based health providers, and researchers. CCHPR provides ongoing education, training, and resources to CBOs in order to build organizational capacity and support community-engaged research. The Evaluation Center partnered with CCHPR to conduct an Organizational Capacity Needs Assessment with CBOs in the St. Louis region to understand current organizational capacity and needs, preferred training and technical assistance format, and preferred logistics for trainings opportunities.
