Evaluation Planning

Overview

The Environmental Studies Program at Washington University in St. Louis engages with many St. Louis initiatives and organizations to complete environmental projects. These collaborative, class-based projects provide students with “real world” experiences and have a tangible benefit for community partners.

The Evaluation Center is partnering with the Environmental Studies Department to develop an evaluation plan for their community engagement work.

Project Description

Background

The Environmental Studies Program at Washington University in St. Louis is implementing a strategic planning process for their community engagement work. They are convening faculty, staff, students, and community partners over the course of four planning sessions to identify the vision, goals, strategies, and outcomes for their community engagement work.

Evaluation Center Activities

  • Conduct and analyze six interviews with Environmental Studies faculty
  • Develop a logic model
  • Develop an evaluation plan
